@quitalsaltex, a relaxer is a type of perm. Perm is short for permanent. Relaxers are permanent as the product permanently chemically alters the natural structure of the hair. In the 80's "Jerrie-curls" were also types of perms. These were curly perms that African Americans wore. I had one back then and I wear a relaxer now.

I never knew that it was a person. Never did buy into the 800 a cut celeb hair gurus. Yet he talks so anyone can understand and its interesting. He sounded very aware about hair and trends. He was 84? Amazing. I am going to see if I can find videos on him.
